Individual Counselling

Overview:

Pride & Prejudice provides individual counselling for 2SLGBTQ+ youth (age 12 to 24).

All of our therapists also identify within the 2SLGBTQ+ communities and center Anti-Oppression psychotherapy in their work.

Our therapists support a multitude of topics, including:

  • Gender identity and/or sexual orientation
  • Relationships with romantic partners, family, peers or community
  • The impact of homophobia, biphobia, transphobia, transmisogyny and other forms of oppression (such as racism or ableism) on their mental health.
  • Experiences of depression or anxiety
  • Confronting traumatic experiences, including childhood abuse or family violence.

We help clients make sense of and build resilience to cope with a variety of complex struggles. At the same time, youth are encouraged to explore and embrace their own individuality and identity.

Eligibility

All 2SLGBTQ+ and questioning youth (ages 12-24) living in the City of Toronto (or with a postal code starting with ‘M’)
