Enhanced Extrajudicial Sanction
EEJS is an Extra-Judicial Sanction (EJS) for young people who are experiencing complex needs in their homes, neighbourhoods, schools and communities which may also include emotional and mental health difficulties. EEJS provides outreach counselling supports youth in their communities, reconnect youth with their support systems and assist with skill development.
The young person is referred to the program by Youth Court probation officers for diversion at the recommendation of the Crown and Duty counsel.
