Rainbow Week of Action

May 16, 2024

CTYS has proudly supported and advocated for the mental health, identity affirming needs and rights of 2SLGBTQIA+ youth and their caregivers for 50 years. It is important to acknowledge that this week, May 11-17 is the National Rainbow Week of Action, culminating with The International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia on May 17.

The National Rainbow Week of Action, led by the Society of Queer Momentum in partnership with Fierté Canada Pride and the Enchanté Network, and powered by local advocates and organizations across Canada, brings together 2SLGBTQIA+ advocates and allies are speaking up for a more free, equal and socially just future — for 2SLGBTQIA+ people and everyone in Canada.

With anti-2SLGBTQIA+ hate on the rise across Canada, we — as queer and trans people, allies, friends and families — are speaking up. We are urging elected officials and governments at every level to take action to advance rainbow equality, address hate and advocate for a more free and equal future for all our families. www.Rainbowequality.ca
